Shot Blasting Concrete Prep
Steel shot fired at the slab strips coatings and profiles concrete fast, with no water and very little dust. Ideal for big floors and heavy coatings.
The details, in plain English.
Shot blasting propels steel shot at the concrete and recovers it in a closed loop, producing an even profile quickly. It is especially effective on large floors, thick coatings, mastics and rough surfaces that would wear out grinders.
For most garages grinding is the right tool, but shot blasting is the better choice on warehouse floors, commercial bays and heavily coated or rubbery surfaces. We choose the method that gets the best profile for the system.

Questions, answered
Is shot blasting better than grinding?
Neither is always better. Blasting is faster on big floors and thick films; grinding is more precise for garages and delicate edges.
Will shot blasting damage my slab?
It removes a thin surface layer in a controlled way. We select the machine settings for the concrete condition.
