Partial-Flake Garage Floors

A lighter sprinkle of flakes over a solid color base: a clean, modern look and a more budget-friendly way to get a professional polyurea floor.

What it is

The details, in plain English.

Partial-flake, sometimes called quarter or half flake, keeps the base color visible and uses flakes as an accent. You choose how much: a light scatter for a subtle sparkle, or half coverage for a richer pattern. Less material and less scraping also trims the cost.

The finished floor looks crisp and contemporary, especially with a light gray, tan or blue base. It is topped with the same polyaspartic clear coat as our full-flake floors, so the durability is identical; the difference is purely the look.

Best for

  • Modern garages and showrooms
  • Budget-conscious projects
  • Light-colored floors
  • Anyone who likes a cleaner pattern

Good questions

Questions, answered

Will repairs show through partial flake?

Properly repaired cracks are filled flush and are much less visible, but a solid base shows more than full flake. We will show you what to expect.

Can I upgrade later?

Yes. A partial-flake floor can be recoated with more flake and a fresh clear coat when it needs refreshing.
