Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating by Garage Polyurea

Polyaspartic Garage Floor Coating

A UV-stable, crystal-clear, fast-curing coating that will not yellow, even in a garage that gets afternoon sun through the door.

What it is

The details, in plain English.

Polyaspartic is the aliphatic cousin of polyurea. Its big advantage is that it stays clear and colorfast under sunlight, where traditional epoxy turns amber and chalky. It also cures quickly and works across a wider temperature range than most coatings, which keeps scheduling flexible in winter and summer.

We use polyaspartic as the clear topcoat on nearly every system, and as a pigmented color coat when you want a solid, seamless floor. Because it is thin, hard and chemical resistant, it protects the color beneath it from hot tires, oil, de-icing salts and scuffs, and cleans with a mop.

Best for

  • Sunny or open-door garages
  • Anyone tired of yellowing epoxy
  • Floors that must stay glossy
  • Cold-weather installs

Good questions

Questions, answered

How is polyaspartic different from epoxy?

It cures faster, resists UV yellowing and handles hot tires better. Epoxy is cheaper and a good base in some systems, but it cures slowly and can amber in sunlight.

Can polyaspartic go over an old epoxy floor?

Only after the old coating is ground off or fully abraded and sound. We inspect it first and tell you honestly what the floor needs.

How do I get a price?

Fill in the form or call 800-207-0499. We schedule a free assessment, look at the slab and send a written quote.

How long does it take?

Most two-car garages are done in a day. Large or heavily repaired floors can take longer, and we tell you the schedule before we start.
