Oil Stain Removal & Degreasing
Oil, grease and fluid stains soak deep into concrete. We degrease, grind and, when needed, treat the slab so the coating bonds to clean concrete, not oily concrete.
The details, in plain English.
Oil is the enemy of adhesion. Even after the stain looks gone, absorbed oil can migrate to the surface and keep a coating from bonding. We scrub with a degreaser, grind away the contaminated surface and, on heavily soaked areas, use poultice or deeper grinding to pull oil out.
We test suspect spots with a water-drop and tape test before we coat. If oil is deep enough to threaten adhesion, we say so and plan accordingly instead of hoping.

Questions, answered
Will oil stains show through the coating?
Not through a solid or flake floor once the oil is properly treated. Untreated oil can cause bonding problems, which is why we deal with it first.
Can old oil ruin a new floor?
It can if it is ignored. That is why we test and treat before coating.
How do I get a price?
Fill in the form or call 800-207-0499. We schedule a free assessment, look at the slab and send a written quote.
How long does it take?
Most two-car garages are done in a day. Large or heavily repaired floors can take longer, and we tell you the schedule before we start.
