Non-Slip Garage Floor Coating
Safe footing when it is wet, icy or oily. We add the right grip to the topcoat without turning the floor into sandpaper.
The details, in plain English.
A gloss coating is slick when wet. Non-slip additives, such as fine aluminum oxide or polymer grit, add traction to the topcoat, and flake and quartz textures add grip naturally. The trick is the right amount: too little and it does not help, too much and the floor is hard to clean.
We can add grip across the whole floor or just in zones: the entry, the steps, the walk-around areas, the pool deck. We show samples so you can feel the difference before you decide.

Questions, answered
Will grit make the floor rough on my tires?
Not at fine and medium levels. Tires roll fine; the effect is mainly on feet and wheels.
Can grit be added later?
Yes. A new topcoat with grit can go over a sound coating.
How do I get a price?

How long does it take?
Most two-car garages are done in a day. Large or heavily repaired floors can take longer, and we tell you the schedule before we start.
