Epoxy Garage Floor Coatings
A proven, budget-friendly coating with excellent adhesion and build. When it is used correctly and protected with a UV-stable topcoat, epoxy is a smart choice.
The details, in plain English.
Epoxy has coated garage floors for decades. It grips concrete well, builds thickness and costs less than polyurea or polyaspartic. Its weak points are a slower cure, a tendency to amber and chalk in sunlight, and softer resistance to hot-tire pickup when used alone.
We install 100% solids epoxy rather than the thin water-based kits sold at hardware stores, and we recommend finishing it with a polyaspartic topcoat when the garage sees sun or heavy use. If budget is the priority, we will tell you honestly where epoxy makes sense and where the faster systems earn their price.
Best for
- Tight budgets
- Dedicated shop floors out of the sun
- Thick build over rough slabs
- Hybrid systems with a polyaspartic top

Questions, answered
How long before I can park on epoxy?
Epoxy usually needs several days before vehicles, depending on temperature. Polyurea and polyaspartic systems return to service much sooner.
Is the hardware-store kit the same?
No. Retail kits are thin, often water-based and rarely bond like a professionally applied 100% solids system on a ground slab.
How do I get a price?
Fill in the form or call 800-207-0499. We schedule a free assessment, look at the slab and send a written quote.
How long does it take?
Most two-car garages are done in a day. Large or heavily repaired floors can take longer, and we tell you the schedule before we start.
