Concrete Spall & Pitting Repair by Garage Polyurea

Concrete Spall & Pitting Repair

Broken edges, flaking surfaces and pitted holes patched and smoothed so the coated floor looks flat and finished.

What it is

The details, in plain English.

Salt, freeze-thaw and age leave garage floors with pits, popouts and spalled areas. If you coat straight over them, the surface looks rough and the coating can crack at the edges. We grind away the loose material, clean the area and fill with a repair mortar or polymer patch, then grind it level.

Large or deep spalls may need a resurfacing overlay; we will measure and recommend. For most garages, patching and grinding is enough to give a smooth, uniform floor.

Best for

  • Salt-damaged floors
  • Older slabs with pits
  • Garage door thresholds
  • Popouts and broken edges

Good questions

Questions, answered

How do I know if I need resurfacing?

If more than a modest portion of the floor is rough or flaking, an overlay may be cheaper and neater than many patches. We will measure and advise.

Will patches show through the coating?

Under flakes, almost never. Under a solid color, fine texture differences can show, which we minimize by grinding level.

How long does it take?

Most two-car garages are done in a day. Large or heavily repaired floors can take longer, and we tell you the schedule before we start.
